On July 22, an online community board post regarding APRIL’s Naeun started to gain attention online. The post includes Netizen A who claims that they attended the same elementary school with Naeun and that they were bullied by her during that time.
The post reads:
“Due to what I went through in elementary school, I cried and made a fuss a lot of the time. So even now, my mom grits her teeth whenever she sees Naeun on TV.”
The post also claimed that Netizen A was not just bullied by Naeun but also by another common friend. Netizen A added that the three of them used to be close friends until one day they started to bully her.
“Due to my shy personality I wasn’t able to ask the reason why they started to bully me and became depressed. Then one day, Naeun pointed towards me and said ‘She’s like a handicap’ and rated my face and body.”
Netizen A revealed that she didn't come forward previously because they didn’t like the idea of being assumed.
“Every time I see Naeun’s face I am reminded of my past memories. She might have said it jokingly but to me it was a big wound. I hope that you don’t forget that this is something that you did.”
Netizen A hopes to receive an apology for the trauma she has faced due to the bullying allegedly caused by Naeun.
On the other hand, DSP Media have officially released a statement on the alleged bullying:
“The rumors are false and we will be collecting all related data and take legal action.”
Later in the same day the agency denied the school bullying rumors surrounding Naeun, one news outlet reported that Naeun has canceled her scheduled activities for APRIL’s upcoming comeback due to shock from the rumors.
Fans believe that if the bullying allegations are true, it will definitely affect the summer single special Hello Summer that APRIL will be releasing on July 29

ReplyDeleteSince the issue with Jimin (AOA) bullying among girl group members suddenly became a trend lol. Honestly, I can just post something on the internet saying "she was my classmate in middle school and she bullied me, I was just scared to speak up but now that she has a Stable career, many fans/people who love her, and income, Imma ruin her career" I mean, before posting something that could ruin someone's life, show evidence first or be professional and talk about it in private, not everything should be told in social media.
