The rumors actually first began in September of 2016 when E-Channel's 'Brave Journalists' reported about one girl group member that was called out by the reporters for causing a disturbance at a Thai hotel.
The girl group member is known to have a pure appearance, a slender figure, and a good personality, but it’s also said she can’t live without smoking and cursing.
The girl group member was smoking indoors, which set off the fire alarm, forcing all guests at the hotel to evacuate but in the end, the hotel staff is said to have apologized to her instead.
The said girl group member also allegedly had a bad attitude and communicates with her chin. The kind members in her group are her personal errand runners.
The girl group member was also late to shoot the commercial because she was taking selfies but the advertisement company had no choice but to sign another contract with her because she's famous.
Furthermore, because Seolhyun is known to have shot a commercial in Thailand and she re-signed a contract as an advertising model, netizens are wondering is Seolhyun is the idol featured in the 'Thai cigarette disturbance' rumors.
However, in response to the accusations, FNC Entertainment confirmed the member in question is not AOA’s Seolhyun, and threatened legal action against those continuing to accuse her of being the one.
