DAY6 Jae's Complaints of Unfair Treatment by JYP Entertainment
DAY6‘s Jae made headlines when called out his own agency, JYP Entertainment. He complained that he had been receiving unfair treatment compared to the other members. He called them out by the DAY6 official account and asked why they choose not to repost his DIVE Studio content even after they posted Young K‘s.
The following day, Jae further explained what his tweet was about. He questioned his agency why his personal activities aren’t being promoted on the DAY6 official Twitter account.
"Just recently I’ve done podcasts, I’ve done the Hwaiting podcast on Facebook and did a collab with 88rising, why aren’t my activities shared?"
— Jae
Jae then further shared to his fans how JYP forced him to quit his own YouTube channel because people within company didn't approve of it.
"On YouTube too, it was all me, doing the work alone for JaeSix. The company said things about it, and I had to beg for permission to do it. Even after all of that, they said ‘people within the company don’t approve of it’ and so I had to stop it.
Why do the other members get their content expenses covered, management for their schedules, and help from the staff?"

JYP Entertainment Responds
On June 30, JYP Entertainment officially released their stance on the matter, claiming the "misunderstanding" had been resolved.
"We have resolved the misunderstanding between the company and the members through dialogue. We will be careful and try to prevent this from happening in the future."
— JYP Entertainment
Soon after, Jae released another statement. He apologized to My Days for causing them to worry.
"I just talked to my agency again, and it seems like there was a lot of misunderstanding. I want to apologize personally through this post for causing you worry. What I wanted to express was a personal issue between me and my agency, and it has nothing to do with the other members. I didn’t think that part through. I apologize to our My Days for causing you worry with my short-sightedness."
— Jae
Fans expose similar issues with JYP Ent.

Fortunately, the matter between Jae and JYP Ent. is now resolved. However, fans are quick to point out that this is not the first time something like this had happened.
They are currently gathering evidences to spread awareness of the company's not-so-innocent actions both in the past and in the present. KPOP fans claim that Jae is not the first JYP Entertainment artist to call out the company.
Here are some of the incidents that are gaining attention again:

- Baek Yerin's post about how “laughable” the company is and how nobody gets anything done there. Soon after, she had to delete the post and apologize.

- The lack of legal actions taken to protect TWICE‘s Tzuyu. when her pictures where illegally used on a karaoke room that offered adult entertainment service.

- "I need a song. I need an album. You listening? I’m a singer. I have to sing. But I don’t sing. I’m MC-ing. What is that?” Jimin (Jamie) Park said on After School Club. Even though Jamie said it as a joke, it undeniably has some truth on it.

- GOT7 BamBam was not being granted permission to open a YouTube channel.

- Baek A-Yeon exposed the matter about the lack of equal promotions while explaining why she left the company.

- The lack of legal actions to protect Stray Kids from harassment and stalkers.
